New car, Toyota Corolla 2020 hybrid

Review: Toyota Corolla 2020 Hybrid

Toyota Corolla 2020 is the first car I ever own. I know that not many people get a new car as their first car, but I wanted to get a hybrid and I didn’t want to deal with the possibility of a used hybrid breaking down on me. Especially since I was a new driver.

Style

Looking at the 2020 Corolla, it doesn’t really look like a hybrid. The one thing that keeps me from buying into a hybrid like a Toyota Prius was that I didn’t really like the way it looks. The Toyota corolla 2020 is a nice-looking car and it wasn’t as boring looking as its earlier versions. There are some designs I question, such as the large front grille of the car. Some pointed out that it looks kinda like a dodge dart, which I would have to agree with as it kinda shares a similar design.

The reason why I wanted a hybrid, was all about getting there and back cheaply. While it may sound fun to go to work at 120mph, but would you really wanna go that fast to work even if you could? All I needed Was a sensible, cheap car to get me to work.

I have been driving this car for at least 6 months now, With more than 5000 miles. I got to say, I wasn’t expecting a fast car or anything still, it accelerates quite well And the Handling is pretty good for a hybrid considering it has a battery.

Efficiency

Amazing gas mileage, I’m averaging 56mpg with my car. The car has been advertised for 52mpg HWY and 53mpg city, so far it’s actually doing greater than it was advertised for. This is more than double the previous vehicles I had been driving! Doing the math for 5000 miles with gas at $3 a gallon, I save about $260 so far. Savings Between the cost of fuel and insurance, I can actually go somewhere and have fun. To me it doesn’t seem to be worth buying a fast car, just to end up not being able to afford to go anywhere.

Interior

The interior is quite nice. the seats are made of polyester which is fine by me. I don’t really like leather as it tends to crack over time and takes more work to take care of, plus I just don’t like the feel of it anyways.

One thing that stands out is the entertainment system. The screen comes out of the dash, Which does stand out from other systems I seen. The audio quality of the audio system is average at best, but I feel it lacks loudness as I find myself having to turn it up volume higher than normal just to get anything out of it. So don’t expect rattle the windows with this stereo.

Pairing my phone was painless, and installing the apps provided for car was easy enough. Thought i prefer to use app on my phone instead. I feel that this car would have been much better off if it had Android Car on it. It does support Apple’s solution but unfortunate I don’t have an Apple phone to test it.

One cool thing about this car is it pedometer. Unlike many cars that have a physical pedometer, this car instead uses a digital lcd screen. You would think that having a screen would make it difficult to see but it seems to work very well. Also it has a pretty neat animation when it starts up.

A really nice feature of this car, is it’s adapted cruise control. Using radar it will automatically slows itself down if you get close to a car in front of you. This obviously makes cruise control a lot more convenient and possibly even safer. Thought I wound’t put all my trust in it. So far its been working great, but I still make that I pay attention when utilizing it.

Overall the Toyota Corolla 2020 hybrid is very good car for people looking budget ordinated hybrid car, or just don’t really want to be seen in a Prius. While I’m no car enthusiast, and I don’t have much experience in other hybrids. I have no regrets buying it, and I would recommend anyone this car if they ask my opinion.
