I realize that to stay in the game, I need to be current with the latest trends and technologies. This is why I have used Treehouse to study web development. It has been an excellent learning resource for me and I cannot say enough great things about them! They are how I stay confident and motivated to succeed in the world of web development. They are always releasing new content so I can stay one step ahead. I also utilize Google and other developer documentation frequently (W3 Schools and StackOverflow) to help with issues with site building. If there is something that I want to learn or review, I will always find a way to get up to speed on the topic. There are a lot of good resources for a developer to learn and grow into the role. It is great that there is such a helpful developer community and I believe that has what made me want to continue learning the tricks of the trade! When I am searching on my phone, it is usually for looking up something web development related or going through all the reference areas on the W3 Schools web developer site. I have found something I enjoy and I want to keep pushing myself to learn it and build stuff to get practice and produce great results. I have also started to use Lynda so I can gain more design and coding skills.
In web development, I have found something I enjoy doing. It has not always been an easy road, but I am motivated to never give up on my career goal. I want to be happy and have flexibility and enjoy what I do. I want more career stability and I feel that web development is the key for me to create a stable future for myself. I will strive to be a good asset to the company I work for and will always try my best to bring forth a product that the client will enjoy as well as myself in the fact I can say I helped build that! It will be a good feeling knowing that I helped web clients (web surfers!) complete a task more efficiently. I don't know what I would do without the internet, it is a necessity for me. I would like to see what I can contribute to the world of web development.
I enjoy watching and back in my younger years, playing sports. I enjoy hockey, baseball, football, basketball, and UFC fights occasionally. Going to live games is so much fun!
I have been playing disc golf for about 5 years now. It is a fun sport and does not cost much to get started. It takes practice to get good and that is what I enjoy most- the challenge of trying to get better.
I also have enjoyed playing video games since I was young. I remember getting my first Nintendo at age 8 and have been hooked on games ever since. I have a PlayStation 3 and 4 and enjoy playing action and role playing games as well as sports games.
